782 hydro fluid change
 
i recently got a 782 it has the cast rear end no drain valve or fill other than the plug got a new filter and rear gasket what the best way to get fluid back in it thanks kenny

The rear cover should have a plug in it, remove the plug and fill it through the hole until it starts to run out. A funnel with a piece of hose on it would be helpful.

i knew i had to pull cover but is the plug npt i thought about screwing a nipple a 90 turning the pipe up with a fill cup up high has anyone tried it holding a funnel and hose for 7 qts seems time consuming and messy thanks kenny

I use a 90. Works fine.

You can remove the top cover and pour it in till it runs out of the plug hole if you have the fenders off.

is it 1/2" npt i was thinking a nipple a 90 another nipple and like a 1/2"x1 1/2 reducer thanks

Do not use 90 in a hydro.

Edit: My bad I didn't realize that you were talking about a 90 degree elbow. Thought you were talking about 90wt gear oil.
