Carb Adjustment Proceedure for Kohler Carb

I been frustrated by the carb on my Quietline 1200. The carb was rebuilt two years ago by an so called professional, but it never has been right since.

Now, when I go to accelerate the engine seems to flood and die. With the air cleaner assembly off, when I accelerate, I seen fuel coming out of the air intake of the carb. IF, I run the accelerator up SLOWLY, the engine slowly begins to increase RPMs, If I run the lever up fast, it stalls.

So, what does the top needle screw adjust? What is the side, angled screw for?

Is there a simple procedure?

Thanks!!!

Top screw is fast idle
Angled screw is low idle

In is lean, out is rich
When you change the one it will effect the other
Sounds lean to me.

The manual for the motor is in the resources section.

Wouldn't the Owner's Manual have that info?

That information is basically a starting point to get it running, further fine tuning will most likely be needed.
