Cub Cadet 100 Hood

Does anyone know the dimensions for the hood brace on a CC 100? The previous owner attempted to fix it and I would like to make it right. I don't know the true dimensions being that it is separated on the one end. I'll probably have to fabricate a new one.

I made one for my 100 since the original brace had been replaced with a homemade bolt-in brace. Mine is 12 or 14ga x 3" wide. It needs to be welded in at an angle to clear the battery and gas tank as the hood is opened and closed.

How long is it from side to side?

It measures 13-1/8" and the ears on each end are 1".

Just cut that crap that's on there off and measure the width of the inside and add two inches. Easy peezy.
What I did to keep it in place for welding was to run a ratchet strap around the hood an tightened it up, positioned the cross brace and welded.
I drilled three holes on the brace at equal spacing on each end then welded the holes shut, a little at a time so not to get the hood to hot.
