Paint suggestions for a 1650

Good morning,

I see lots of different threads. HOW MUCH paint will I need?? I would like to do a restoration single stage urethane. The fenders and 44a mower deck, wheel, seat, etc will be sand blasted and epoxy primed.
Probably a coat of primer-surfacer with a top sanding too. I want nice and durable too. It's not going to be a parade tractor- but used in the yard.

Keep looking online trying to find a good discount place which carries ppt, dupont etc. I was considering Kirker primers.

Yellow paint has the worst coverage of any color, the pigment is thin so more coats are needed to get full coverage. I work in a shop and regardless of the brand yellow paint is a pita, when I paint a tractor I buy a gallon of yellow and a gallon of white and I use all the yellow and about 2/3 of the white. The paint I recommend is the case/ih paint, its made by valspar and looks incredible when sprayed properly and it won't break the bank like ppg or Dupont paint. To help the coverage issue you want to buy a primer that's really light grey or white, this will allow the yellow to cover faster with less coats.

Tim,

Is the case IH paint enamel based or urethane based?

Ok thanks! I used some Case IH argent silver enamel a while back and it worked out really nice.. Just used some universal hardener and thinner in it. Wanted to make sure the yellow and white was the same deal.
