New 149

Got this 149 this week. Owner said it didn't run,and didn't want to mess with it. I took the carb off, took it apart, and soaked it in gas overnight. Put it back together, and it fired right up. After a few adjustments, it idled real nice. The brakes don't work, and the hydraulics and steering are sloppy. I need to find an owners manual so I can learn more about this New Cub. Other than the numbers how close is this tractor to a 147 as I have one of those also.

149 is wide frame- 147 is narrow frame.

So I can use the 147 owners manual for reference? any advantages or disadvantages to wide frame vs. narrow frame

the technical library has both the Operator Manual and Service Manual for the 1x8/1x9 tractors.

Thanks for the links to the manuals. I had looked in the tech library, but dildn't know what the (1x8/1x9 tractors) designations were. The 149 that I just got creeps at idle, and the brakes don't work. The release lever doesn't affect anything when it is moved. Looks like there's alot of reading in these manuals. thanks again.
