It was 15 degrees at my house in Ft. Worth this morning and then we started getting a light snow. It probably didn't accumulate more than an inch or so, but who cares? The official high of 24 degrees was a record low high temperature for this date. It is Ft. Worth Stock Show time and we always get some bad weather for that. They are forecasting ice tomorrow morning so I just had to fire up the 149 and remove what was on my driveway and those of my neighbors plus the hill that we live on had slick spots that needed my attention. The Cub still has 30 weight oil in it and has been sitting under a tarp in the backyard, but it finally started and the fun began!

Jim

Looks like you had fun. I also had fun, no snow to deal with, think my Cubs are allergic to snow. :biggrin2:

Sam.

You may get some snow on sat with the coastal storm developing.

Being the nice guy that I am I'll send you my share of that wonderful white stuff. Hope you enjoy my generosity. :beerchug:

Your situation might be like mine, I have to get up early and plow the snow before it all melts.

I gotta ask, off topic I know, but is jubilee a reference to an old Ford?:bigthink:

Nice Texas snow pic Jim!

ACecil 02-06-2014 10:56 PM

Great pic! Glad you got some seat time!

Looks like a really nice 149 lead the charge once again against the elements! Just funny to see someone in Texas all bundled up like that, as that is not my typical perception of a Texan to be in a winter coat.:biggrin2: Nice of you to take care of your neighbors and the neighborhood. You were wise to take care of that before any ice storm came.

Yes, I played with 8N's and NAA/Jubilees's for several years after 30 years of Model A Fords. Still have one 8N and some Cushman motorscooters waiting to be restored too.
