New guy with an Original and 2072
I just got my account activated here so I can finally post and see pictures others have posted.
I'm in Southern Indiana and recently bought a 2072 and two Originals for old times sake. After WW2, my Grandfather worked at and retired from International Harvester in Louisville, KY. I grew up next door to him and he always had a couple cadets around the farm. I have the receipts and manuals for most of the cubs he purchased, beginning in 1961. He certainly took advantage of his 25% discount off every IH cub and implement. The first tractor I used was the 149, followed by the 1811. Those were my 4 wheelers growing up. Anyway, all those cubs were traded in or sold after he passed and there were none left on the farm. I thought it would be nice to find a couple to bring back. I bought an O that I am currently restoring and a 2072 to do some mowing and towing. Just driving it brings back lots of memories of the countless hours I spent on one as a kid. Please bear with me as I'm likely to have lots of questions as I work with my new old toys. http://i41.tinypic.com/t03vvc.jpg http://i41.tinypic.com/34zg5li.jpg |
