125 engine
 

i just picked up an engine today for my 125 but its a 14 horse will this fit in my 125

Pics would help a lot. Same style starter? Out of another Cub Cadet? Is the oil pan bolt pattern the same?

What is the 14 out of? is it a k321 from another cub?

You might have to cut the frame like IH had to do with the 147

it is out of a cub, it does not have a tag on it but is casted k321. really don't want to cut the frame that is why i asked the question. the thing that baffles me is that it has a plastic grass screen on the flywheel, i thought they were all steel

The only thing that I can think is that it might be a newer one? :bigthink: Does it have a gen/starter or and electric start.

You would have to spread the frame like a 147 or take it apart and change the bearing plate, flywheel and tin. Either way, it's allot of work. It's not a drop in.

the 14 horse k321 has a bigger flywheel than the 12 horse, and it's too wide to fit in the 125 frame without making adjustments (cutouts.) the 10 horse k241 would fit as a replacement along with a the K301 12 horse.

it does have the start gen bracket on it. i wish it would drop right in. would any body want to trade for a k301?

Where in Wisconsin Are you. I might have a K301 to trade.
