cub cadet 107 wiring HELP
guys, my 107 still only starts when i turn the key on and jump start it, then when i shut the key off it cranks until the battery dies, tried rewiring solenoid, heres some pics, had new wiring too.

Have you tried cleaning the connections/terminals?
|
I think you wired the solenoid wrong. Does it start cranking when turn the key to the start position, then never stops? If so, you probably did. Battery (+) to one big sol post. (Doesn't matter which one.) From the SAME POST to the key. Start position on the key to the SMALL solenoid post. Other BIG solenoid post to the SG. I'm sure Roland has a pic floating around on here somewhere.
The jumper wire on the safety switch won't affect it. That is NOT causing the issue. |
ok thanks, i tried wiring it correctly then put it back to the way i had it, im sure i have it right, i just tried a different VR didnt change a thing, didnt really clean the connections, i hope the wiring isnt burned up, i did have the wrong VR on it:bash2:

Try unplugging the ignition switch when it won't stop cranking. If it does stop there's two things that could be wrong. One being the switch has bridged connections inside and needs replaced or two the coil wire and starter wire got swapped somehow. Good luck with figuring it out

ok thanks:beer2:
