Is there Wiring Diagram with Coil, Key Igniton Switch, Light Switch and Ampmeter
I am trying to debug some issues with the 1961 Cub Original that has the K181 motor. This was my Dad's tractor and it has not run in about 15 years.
Here are my issues maybe some one can help. My problem is I have no voltage getting to the positive side of the coil. I disconnected the wire from the coil and no voltage present. The starter engages regardless of if ignition switch is on or off! Is that normal? Should there be 12 volts at the coil with the ignition switch on or only when you push the starter button? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ron |

The starter will turn with key in either position.
All the key switch does is connect/disconnect power to the coil. The coil should have 12 volts at the pos post any time the key is in the on position. |
