Can a carburetor cause engine vibration??
hi. just brought home my 122 today. it ran great at mid rpm and up but idled like garbage when i bought it. so i go to clean the carb and its a stinkin walbro. so i swap it out for a #26 kohler carb that appears to be off a quietline since it has black paint on it and the newer style throttle shaft.
long story short now it runs like a swiss watch at all rpms but i swear it vibrates much more than it did before the carb swap. what gives? throttle shaft has some play but not any more than the walbro i took off. adjusting the fuel mixture makes no difference. is this possible or did i dream it up? any input would be kindly appreciated. |
I've never heard of a properly set up carb CAUSING vibration, unless it causes the engine to run faster and vibrate MORE. I bet it's just your imagination.
