K301 main bearings
Just a little info regarding the k301 (and likely other k series engines). After tear down I found the races of the main bearings were severely pitted. After doing some research I found the the oem kohler main bearings are made by skf and it is a standard bearing: 6300/c3 or 6300/jem. The c3 and jem suffixes are essentially identical and interchangeable. These bearings can be found on epay or other bearing distributors for a fraction of the cost ($20-30) of the oem kohler bearing ($100). Hope this helps.
