:bigthink: I put an extra pump from a 122 on my 149 for my front blade. The pump don't work. It is on the same side as the 122 but is their a rotation problem? Any help would be appreciated. thank you old 149 po3jo7@yahoo.com :Cub6: :cub 4: |
Rotation would be the same, has the pump been purged of air? Why not just tap the existing lines and add another valve?
|
Yes, the rotation is correct.
Is this a known good pump? What kind of fluid did you put in the pump? You didn't overfill it did you? |
I think because the pump is upside down it might not be getting fluid:bigthink: Especally if it only has the recommended amount of fluid.

Cub123 is correct, unbolt the pump, turn it over in the bracket, rotate the can and it stands a much better chance of working. |
IF the Hydraulic Pump were mounted in the correct location, the Drive Pulley on the Flywheel end of the engine, would be a lot larger in diameter. Thus, spinning the pump at a higher RPM, would create the needed pressure, to work correctly.

It appears you are running approx a 1-3/4 to 1 reduction, try getting it so the suction inlet is on the bottom and see where you are @ as you are sucking wind now.
But I'm thinking like Roland, that it may need to be run faster to work,--- but you might be lucky and does what you want, just slower. No harm in trying. |
With the pump upside down like that it cant pick up any fluid. The inlet for the fluid is on the bottom of the pump. The way you have yours the inlet is at the top. Also, when you turn it over make sure that you rotate the fluid can so the filler is about 2/3 up on the side. The can should only be filled 2/3 full. There's very little that can go wrong with those pumps as long as they're not leaking. I would'nt worry about the pulley. Try it first.

Make sure the fill hole on the pump is at the 2 o'clock position so you can fill it to the correct level. |
LOL, I also know what happens when you overfill one.
First, you have to call Thing 1 and Thing 2 to come help clean the mess up... |
