Carb bowl gasket
Hello everyone, I got the removed and all cleaned up. It had some varnish in the main jet completely clogging it. Now I'm ready to install the carb but I haven't had any luck finding gaskets. I can make the mounting gasket but I'm needing advice on the bowl gasket. I was wondering if an O-Ring would work?
I think the old gasket will still work I just wanted to go back new. Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions. |
All you have to do is walk into any Cub Cadet or Kohler dealer and buy a carb kit, which you probably need anyway if the carb was all gunked up.

Yup, Cub Cadet/IH dealers sell them. IMO when you take apart a carb it needs to have new gaskets/seals installed cuz the old ones leak.

You can do what you like. I've re-used the bowl gasket quite a number of times on various K-series Kohler engines. You can buy them separately from a kit or used to anyway.
