682 transformed into 782??
Hey guys I have a lead on a 682 thats in pretty nice condition. Asking price is $300 with deck, but Ive always wanted a 782. I also know of a frame, all hydraulics (dual), pedistal, rearend, and dash from a yellow/white cub that is the same style as the red 82 series. It could be a Y/W 782, but not sure. My question is how difficult would it be to take the manual lift off the 682 and add the hyd lift off the Y/W tractor to it, making it a 782? Or will it still need some things? I know I'll need to swap the dash for the dual levers to come out of forsure. Thanks for any help.

Don't hold me to it but I think u will need a ported pump for it as well

it not that hard you have to change the plastic dash peace the lift you have to change couple of things i have to get part # to explain

Everything should be a direct swap. I converted my 682 to a 782. The hardest part will be getting the old brackets off of the rockshaft. Should take about an afternoon to do the complete conversion.

I've done the same swap and it's no big deal. A little blue tip heat on the rockshaft brackets helps get them off the shaft. It's well worth doing to have hydralic lift.

What's a ported pump?
I'm a car gearhead at heart & ported means that is has been modified to flow more air/oil etc. So what is a ported pump, does that mean that the pump has fittings on it to use the hydraulics outside the pump itself? Thakns |
Scot,
You are correct. The hydro pump has hydraulic ports on the front of it to run lines to run the hydraulic lift. |
