Hydro and rear axle.

What are the differences between these two models that are not obvious by looking at the outside of them?

Reduction gear ratio is about it. The Supers use a different pump out put shaft and reduction gear to compensate for the larger tires.

So, the splined end sticking out of the case looks the same, it's the gear(?) on the end of it that's inside the hydro case?

I am having to learn a few things about the Cyclops even though I have several. This 2084 is a recent addition to the other standard size.

The output shaft of the hydro pump/motor that goes into the trans has teeth on it that mesh with the reduction gear and they are different between the Supers and the GT's. Also the Super stuff is NLA don't know about the GT stuff. What are you trying to do?:bigthink:

Nothing really. Just trying to take inventory of what I have here. When I bought this parts 1864, I had given some thought of using the rear end in another 1864 I have if necessary or even in the 2084.

Looks like if I wanted to settle for reduced road speed in the 2084, this would work okay?

If you put the 1864 rear in the 2084 it would go faster. The Supers have lower gearing because of the bigger rear tires.

And have less torque, which may be a problem. I may be imagining things, but I thought I saw someone post about having that problem when using a GT rear on a super.

It's the tractor Chip built into a "Sub Super". He is in the process of converting the rear to the Super gearing at the moment as far as I know.

That be me. I have seen others using the larger wheels on GTs but I don't see how they stand it. Huge difference. I wouldn't recomend it but I guess if you are just going to mow on flat ground it would be ok.
