Cub Cadet 123, Axle Carrier leaks Oil!
5 Attachment(s)
Hi Boys,
at my fresh purchased CC 123, leaks the left Axle Carrier, it comes out at the Oil Seal Ring, and run over the Rim, and Tire. Now, i have to change the Oil Seal. Last Week, i had the Transmission open, to change the Hydro Fluid, only 3 Liter Fluid was in it, not more, now, i know why!!! I changed the Hydro Filter too, and filled in, new Hy Tran Fluid, untill the Plug. The old Filter was painted Yellow, i think, it's the first one. Does someone know the Size of the Oil Ring in the Axle Carrier, and how to remove the Retainer Ring, inside the Differntial Housing? At Sunday, we have a Oldtimer Tractor Meeting in our Area, and i want to show my 3 Cub Cadets, thanks, rgds Georg :Cub1::Cub3::Cub8: |
I have done this just this year in my 104... I believe although it is a Hydro, it is the same rear end in the Diff housing.... I took a pair of needle nose pliers and removed the C-snap ring on the end of the axle shaft and it slides right out, the clip comes out very easy... The oil seal you need is 721-0187. Not sure the size, but thats the item #.
