External Brakes on a 104 ???

Can external brakes be transplanted to a 104 that currently has internal brakes ?

Could this be a strictly bolt on operation if the right donor parts are found ?

What model # tractor would be an acceptable donor ?

Thanks Cubby,

are there certain model #'s that make acceptable donors for the parts needed ?
are there some models that just won't work ??

The axles and calipers should work from any external brake tractor. The center cast piece would have to be from a gear drive 108, 128, 1000, 1200 etc.

KSanders,

thanks for the update. I do have calipers and discs donated to me by other locals. I'll have a chance to see if these cobble together into something promising. I may need a few arms to connect the calipers to the brake pedal.
