Broke my key...

and it's the only one that came with the tractor when I bought it. Never got around to getting a spare made, dangit... Anyway, how can I get a new one made? Can a locksmith cut one based upon the numbers on the old key, or can I order one from somewhere?

Many thanks.

I will come down and get that dumb tractor out of your hair. Just need directions from Albany, NY:biggrin2:

Can you get the end out? If its a cut key,You might better just get a new switch.

Been there

I left mine in the ignition when I hauled my 123 home and it fell out on the freeway somewhere. Doh!

Fortunately, there's not a lot of different keys. I got one listed for my 123 on Ebay and it worked fine. Perhaps some of the fine sponsors of the forum have them also!

Broke my key...

I know I could replace the entire switch, for about $40.00. But the switch is fine. I'll give the local locksmith a call on Monday, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if they were able to get a replacement key.

If I remember correctly, the keys from my 123 was broken off and all I did was worked it around and finally got it out, then used one from a 106 to replace it.
I used one from my 102 to replace the one from my 100, so they all seem to work from one to another, so you should be able to get a new used one or get one from someone and try it, then just get a copy made.

So you're saying all Cub Cadets they all have the same keys?

Well just speaking for what I've done, that the 123 and 106 were the same. As well as the 102 and 100.
