Gentlemen

S/G works well and turns the engiine over fine. I cleaned and gapped points, new plug and checked and cleaned all grounds and contacts. There's no spark at the plug or at the points that I can see.

What's the next step?

I am the mechanically challenged weaverama.

Check for 12V at coil. Also, you may have a bad coil and/or plug wire. Put your ohmmeter across the coil. You should have 3-4 ohms of resistance. If there's no or infinite resistance, the coil is toast.
