Well I got my biannual paycheque today... I guess I worked harder than I thought. After I put a bunch away for college, a couple hundred in my business and personal accounts, I have $2000 to play with. The 123 is 43 as of march, and is so worn out that above half throttle it loses so much compression it almost stalls... So I'll rebuild the motor, but while it's apart, why not paint it... And do the tractor too? I'm going to get a proffesional to do the paint, but I'm doing the rest. What parts am I probably going to need? The hydro is good and strong, but is there seals or anything I should replace? I would like a set of lights and a new steering wheel, decals, and a seat. I think those are the major parts I can't get around here. Is there any modifications you guys have done to this series of tractor to make it better? I'm not talking major fab work, just simple little things. I'll probably get started on disasembly in late fall. I'll keep you posted!

I just got done doing a 123 that went to RPR. If you're looking for stuff.
1. cork gasket, 2. steering gear, (do the super steer upgrade, it's worth it)
3. put a new wireing harness in, it will save hours of time for the problems you won't have.
The one I worked on was taken completely apart, painted then reassembled. Don't do that. a narrow frame hydro is to tight to keep parts pretty while you assemble them. Rebuild the engine do the cork gasket then put them together make sure nothing leaks and brakes and hydro are adjusted properly. take the engine out and let the painter stand it up on end to paint the underside.

Well here you go guys. Got my decals at mh as suggested. My parents got the seat reupholstered as a Christmas present. Here are some during pictures. My before pictures went down with one of our computers during a power surge :(

I actually did all the work myself, not as originally planned. I rebuilt the engine, sandblasted everything, and did the paint and anything else that needed done. It isn't perfect but I'm darn proud of it!

Nice work... where did your folks get the seat redone, do you know the cost? Looks like it will be a sweet tractor in the near future!

Thanks so much guys! I know Its got some scratches and it ain't perfect but it's better than what it was :)

The seat. My parents say that it cost about $150-$175 to get redone. It's the best part of the tractor I think lol.
