Diz Jr, Thank you. It has been a long time since I have had a gear driven CC,
all the rest have been hydros. I think the PO has install the wrong hood, as it is hitting the steering wheel upon closing. If I could get someone with a 70 to measure the lenght of their hood, It will be appreciated. :American Flag 1:

The hood is probably correct. They probably ran into something and bent the front of the frame where the grille mounts. Ive had luck with grabbing the top of the grille and giving a solid jerk towards the front to bring them back. Also have taken the grille off and persuaded it with a BFH till it was straight again

Odds are the hood has been push back. My last 100 that I purchase had the same problem. The frame is mess up a little where the front grill connects to the frame.
For a quick fix I put a washer between the rear grill mount and the frame. The hood now clears the steering wheel.

I recently got a 100 that does the same thing except if I turn the steering wheel a bit the hood will clear the wheel.

That's the way my O is, just figured it was a worn out steering gear and dash grommet. I didn't think about the grill being pushed back, will have to check that out.

:Morning: Thank you Fellows for all the replies. The front of the frame and the grill show no damage. Merk, I will try the washer trick. Am I correct in assuming that the washer will tilt the grill forward more? The PO cut a 2 inch section out of the outer cover on the steering wheel. My guess is hoping the hood would clear, did not work. Could someone give me some suggestions/advice on how to post pictures? Merk, I just read all the posts on your 70 restoration, when I get into this tractor, your restro will be a great help. :American Flag 1:

Thanks Don.

The washer will tilt the grill out more.
Let me know if you need some help. I live around 40 miles to the east.

:Morning: Merk, your Welcome. Thank you for your help offer. it is certainly appreciated. 49 miles to the east, must be just on the other side of the Buckeye line? I am a Buckeye in Hoosier land, born and rasied in southeasten Ohio. :American Flag 1:
