20th yr with the 129
 

I bought my 129 20 years ago and it runs just as good now as then ,I have had very few problems with it,the only repairs made were normal wear, the pto,tires,tie rods rag joint ,for 15 years of the past 20 it was the only cub I owned. I used it to cut grass plow snow and dirt and tilled with it ,this spring i got out of storage and got it ready to work first wash it then change the oil, filters,lube,sharpen the blades and then mow.

Well of course, what did you expect from an IH cub cadet? If you take care of your equipment, then it will take care of you. Here's to many, many more years of excellent service.:beerchug:

I wish our grass here in Wisconsin would turn green like yours so our cubs could start working! 40 degrees and rain again today! It's getting old!

I like these stories of owning a single tractor, and using it for real work, over an extended period of time. What I tend to think of as the purpose of a tractor in the first place.

Thank's for all the great comments guys,with all the great info on this site it's easy to keep em running.

Dad's 125 is approx. 30+ some years going strong for him. I hope to have my 147 for that long at least.
