Just a feeler, any interest in a 1989 1050?

I just wanted to throw this out there; I've got a 1989 CC 1050. I love the tractor, I really do, it's my first (and only) gear drive. We've been through a lot; first engine pull, new motor mounts, broken gear shifter (thank again John :beerchug:) and tons more, but I think the time is coming for us to part ways. My question to you guys (mostly in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, etc) is this: is there any interest from you guys for this tractor if I were to sell? It's in overall pretty good shape, not a show queen, but she's earned her keep on more than one occasion. The engine has just started smoking a little when she gets warmed up. I will say this, though; it has proven to be the best starting tractor I've ever owned. This past winter, even down around -50°, shed kept, she'd fire right up every time. Reliable doesn't cover it enough. Anywho, I just wanted to put a feeler out there, I know they didn't make very many of these units, I think I've only ever seen one other one than mine since I've bought it. I wouldn't want to make big bank off of it, just see it go to a good home, maybe someone that'd want to put a bigger engine in it :bigthink: So guys, what do you think? Anyone be interested in this tractor for an OCC price only if I were to sell it? I'll try to get some pics up when I get home.

PS

Mods, if this is in the wrong section or inappropriate, let me know or just take it down. Thanks! :beerchug:

Here mine, i think there's 3 of us here that have one. I bought it with a bad clutch and trans. I put a cast trans in with a 16 tooth 2nd gear. It came with a tack that said 350 hrs. I think someone has put a new motor in it. This pic is when i was pulling firewood up the hill in a sled. Mike

Ok, guys you asked!
First pic is a one owner 1050 that a lady had and she bought it new and all it ever did was mow a 3/4 acre lot. Never seen the rain even! The second is my roller tractor, all it does is roll the yard once a year and back in storage it goes. The last two are in pretty good shape too. Hard to get pics of the last two because they are in amongst other cubs! hehe

cubcadet 04-26-2014 03:54 PM

Very nice mike, the first one I think is my favorite out of the 4.:beer2:

Cubcrazy 04-26-2014 03:57 PM

Thanks Nick! Yeah, it is the best condition one and still has the original 6 pad seat which looks brand new! The second one has original 6 pad also and it is perfect as well.

jimbob200521 04-26-2014 04:23 PM

Very nice collection! Dare I ask, how many Cubs do you have around? Or have you lost count :biggrin2:

Cubcrazy 04-26-2014 04:33 PM

Thanks Ryan! I lost count a long time ago!:biggrin2:

Thanks Mike I will absolutely do that. Last time I was there on Thanksgiving and they already had the front end loaders moving the snow out, that place has ridiculous winters.
