New Score... Cub 123 and ALOT of Parts (Picture Heavy)

Here is the 123 that I picked up a couple days ago. Came with lights and alot of extra parts. A couple hoods, a couple seats, and brackets, front ends. I also got a 122 chassis reciently which I traded for another 123 rolling chassis with Jmroy from here at OCC. So, Now I've got a frame to fix the 123 I have with the hole in it as well as an extra hydro tranny (not sure if it works... but good for parts at the least) Picked up everything for $250.

Now for the Pics.....

Yes, I like it so far, It is HARD to get used to from a gear shift. This is my first hydro. The only think I need to adjust or whatever is the Neutral/Brake pedal thing... I cant step on the petal without the tractor in N, I believe that if i step on it when its in F or R, it should move to N, but it isnt without help, maybe silicone spray will help?

Yes, I was glad to get the frame from a forum member too, it was nice to match a face to the name. What are the odds that 2 of us live in the same town. Haha.

Thanks zippy!! I have wanted a hydro for a while, and It seemed like the 123 was more rare than the 125 and older, I like the older ones myself. It runs good, a little smoke, could be rings or maybe just buildup in the head. Tearing into it more tomorrow. :beerchug:

nice haul! my 125 has the same brake/shift lever issue. I know how to fix it, just haven't had the chance yet. if you take the battery out and follow the rod the shift lever is attached to, you'll find a wedge-shaped piece and pin sticking through the shaft. this just needs some lubrication. it's designed to cancel the shifter back to Neutral when you step on the brake, but if there's no lube, it'll bind. It's easiest to find if you move the brake pedal around while you're looking. some wd-40 will do the job, I'm going to hit it with that and maybe some white grease too. Hope this helps, and hope you have a blast with it!

Thanks, It is a fun little tractor... I havent got a chance to do much with it yet. :beerchug: How are the hydros with plowing snow? Better than a gear shift?

I'll be finding that out myself soon. :biggrin2:

I cant wait for the snow to start flying so I can go out and play and push it around. I also cant wait to try out my CQ-36 snow thrower for the first time! :beerchug:

When your plowing at a plow day a hydro is nice when your stuck behind a off topic tractor. Cub123 has done a many furrows with his 123.

Congrats on the 123 score! I used to have one and kinda regret getting rid of it. Looks like you got tons of parts as well. :beerchug:

ihcc104 10-14-2012 11:14 PM

Thanks, Yes... I think I will have this one for a while... I gotta figure out why she is smoking... It only smokes out of the muffler when it increase throttle and a little bit of smoke seems to come out of the oil breather... No clue. I haven't opened up a Kohler before and am worried about getting in too deep... :bash2::bigthink:

Thanks Mike! I feel the hydro will be a lot easier, than the the gear drive for blade work.
