#26 is correct. If I had earlier stated a #27, it was a typo. My mistake. (I didn't go back and look.)

Glad you found a better deal on machine work!

You can buy one if you want. I have not bought one, as I usually just rebuild my carbs. If they are beyond repair, I have several. :biggrin2:
Others have bought them, and member dvogtvpe (engine extraordinaire) bought one just to tear down and compare to the Kohler carbs. He said they were basically the same. Minor differences in the internal circuits of the carb. Otherwise, took all the same basic parts, and did function comparably. Worth the $30 if you need one.

My local NAPA machine shop charges ~$180 to bore the cylinder, turn the crank and regrind the valve seats. They clean the block before and after.

I take them the block and crank, he calls me with the bore required, I buy the rebuild kit and take him the piston and valves. He completes the work and I go pick it all up.

Well, not so local now that I've moved 80 miles east, but that's what the Richmond (VA) shop charges.

That’s a great price Frank. Mine just does bore and crank grind for $180 and I thought I was getting a good deal!

Things are moving along; the tractor is totally disassembled. I have a pile of parts, so next I will be making some repairs, installing some new parts, painting as I assemble, and of course continuing the engine overhaul. here are a few pics, enjoy! (Got the first bit of red paint on also!!:biggrin2:)

I am going to try to post a poll.

The 122 is going to be painted IH red. What I am not decided on is the wheels. I am not sure if I should just paint them traditional Cub cadet white, or do the rear silver and red and the front red, to mimic the full size IH tractors...

You're almost done, Mike! :-)

Not to be a wise guy but what "sparks your fancy"? You have to look at it, pick what you want.

you didn't have a factory color option
Jeff
