Thanks for the thoughts... I did tell my son the other day and he pretty hurt by it, more angry at the fact someone would hit him. I tried explaining to him that he was a big dog and no one would purposely try to hit him because of what it would do to them. I told him Joey probably got scared or saw something on the other side of the road and wasn't paying attention. He never was near a main highway so he didn't really know to be aware of cars...
