I'd be looking for a 1450 , 1650, or 1250 with hydraulic lift if I really wanted to use the tiller. I prefer a hydro for that sort of work. . I agree with Matt the 1200 is high. Also if you buy a tiller either see it in operation or be very sure ALL the parts are there....including the belt which is spendy.

well I have been searching and think I found my mower. It has nothing with it but the 50 inch deck. I am going to look at it tomorrow He is asking 600 for it. has new motor mounts, fresh engine rebuild... it doesn't have several of the things I wanted with it.

Looks like it is a 1450. You will really like that QL! Will do whatever you need. Perfect for a tiller. :beerchug: |
my only concern is will the cost of adding a 3point hitch, snowblade and chains. be more than the cost of going to urbana ill. and buying the tractor with alot of the bells I am after already on it. such as this tractor:

Trilakes mower,
I would go for the 1450. Half the price and a fresh rebuild to boot. The snowblade, 3 point, and chains won't come anywhere near the $600.00 difference. The guy would probably take less then $600.00 for it too. Just my two cents! |
Well thanks all for your input.... I have talked to both owners of the final 2... the 1450 and 1650.... the 1650 sure is nice and the owner was willing to go lower... down to a even grand. but its a 4 hour drive. the 1450 was a 2 hour drive and didn't have near the amount of new stuff tires, mower blades ect... and was lacking the plow and 3 point. but I bet he would take 500 for that 1450 but I would need a 3 point and snow plow. I'm leaning towards the 1650 there is alot of new on the 1650 and all I would need then is a tiller.

You do realize you cannot use a tiller with that Cat 0 lift, right? You will still have to buy a sleeve hitch 3 point and install it to use a tiller. Plus Cat 0 equipment is much much more expensive than sleeve hitch implements. To me the 1450 would make more sense. But that is, as said, for me. You know your needs and what your willing to work with. Keep us posted.
You could sell the Cat 0 and probably get most of the stuff you need from what you get out of it. Here is the 3 point you will need: http://cgi.ebay.com/CUB-CADET-1250-1...item33658013ee |
You can also put a tiller on that cat 0 three point. I have one it works great. They are powered from their own engine like this one. http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/grd/2236309452.html This is the same tiller I run. Also you can get an adapter to run the sleeve hitch stuff with your cat 0. Just not the IH tiller.
