I'll go measure before it gets dark. Cast nose deck, couple rust holes not bad all spindles loose, has carriage and mule drive.

That's a Wide Frame blade.
I thought you said it had a lift? |

Rest of lift is in the box, with the PTO, etc. Even has has 3 anti-rattle clips in a Ziploc bag. I was kinda wanting another wide frame hydro to hang tiller from permanently, but couldn't pass this up. Blade dimensions don't match Jeff's narrow frame blade.

The sub frame is for a wide frame tractor. But the main frame and blade will go on either.:beerchug:

Rode the104 around the yard, steering somewhat loose but otherwise seems OK, brakes work.

Blade for Wide Frame
Based on your picture and the direction of the pins for the Quick-Attach, I would say that you have a wide-frame blade. You can use the blade itself on the 104 if you can find a narrow frame sub-frame for it.:beerchug:

Been fiddling w/the 104, put the lift back on, pulled the carb to build, tightened up the PTO basket, found flywheel is loose also, and some spring(teaser?)on the clutch is broken. Got the engine loose, to pull it back to tighten the flywheel, put the carb to soak and called it a night. Its cool the blade is wide frame. Not sure if I'll keep the narrow frame but it is here, and too nice to part, IMO.

Pulled the engine, found flywheel nut finger tight, blipped it with the Ingersoll. Pulled the head, sure enough guy was right-.010 stamped on jug and piston, clean, cylinder still cross hatched. Planed the head on a sheet of glass w/220 taped to it.
Deck is surprisingly nice, all spindles loose, wooden roller intact as are both wheels. Still had an IH belt on the deck. Looks like PTO disc, one Frankenstein bolt,, and PTO thrust button are AWOL. Somehow the PTO bearing is in tne clutch, locking collar still on the crank. Liking this thing more and more. Built Feb 1969, so it is one month older than me. |
