Hand clutch on the 100

Well I finished the hand clutch today. It wasn't all that hard either.
The angle iron mounted to the floorboard was drilled and mounted using the holes in the floorboard as guides, and bolted with 3/16 bolts, without having to alter the factory boards.
The handle is from an old ATV snowplow, so that cut time not having to make one. The rod between the handle and clutch was cut to length, and then I put it in the wood stove to heat it up enough to bend the ends.
Drilled the ends and added pins, good to go! The one picture before the rod was painted is with the handle in the brake position.
Was a fun project, now looking forward to a test drive.

Zippy, That is SO Cool!!!! Please post some pictures with you and it in action!! I've done a lot of modifications on farm tractors and combines for farmers who are handicapped too. NICE JOB!!!

It will be a bit before the test drive, I need to find me a seat with some cushion or I'll have a sore on my

this one that came with it is not something I care to put some seat time on!
So now I'm looking for a seat with some softness

Very good! The fact that you made it go over center will keep the pedal up and prevent the clutch from getting disengaged partially from the handle bouncing around. That'll keep you from having clutch issues like I warned about in your other thread. As long as the lever stays put while you are driving, you shouldn't need a stronger clutch return spring.

Matt, I did put one on per your suggestion. And I just don't want the handle flopping back and forth, but I also have the spring on the handle pretty snug, so it seems to be steady.

That's sweet. My old 100 came with a half a$$ hand clutch. Notnear as nice as that

and as a fan of blacksmiths, i could sit and watch someone do that all day long. it's one thing to have the satisfaction of building something with your hands but it's even more when you actually forge something with your bare hands!!!!! jeff
