I have seen lots of attachments be displayed for the Cub Cadet, but, I have never seen a wing!!
Some people say a Cub Cadet will have a wing "when pigs fly!!" I got tired of snow spillage when pushing snow with the blade, so, it got a wing. I asked about the wing and got lots of ideas. Then I went out to the shed and whipped it up!! Now, if it would just snow, so I could try it out!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That looks like it should work great! I've thought about doing this on my blade since I switched to a 42" blade instead of my 54" blade.

![]() Is 60" too much for a 10HP gear drive?? ![]() Two wings on a 54" would result in a 66" wide blade, I would have to get the Super out from under the tarp!! ![]() |

Put some weight on her and it dig! Lol the 54" I had on my 1200 was good if you added about 300lbs and didn't have wet snow. I just push on concrete though too, pushing uphill is a booger esp when the 54" blade was on. Was nice though two passes and the driveway was done! That big blade looks tough on the Cubs too, I may have to blade up both tractors! Then I'll have my choice to push snow!

Maybe you should just use a 54 inch plow instead of using rubber wings.

I need to dig up some used belt, I've used up my stash from the quarry days.
That should work well. I'm sure you'll post pics of it in action. Hope you don't get to use it for oh say 20 years. ![]() ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
