Default 1872 deal went bad

Hope it was one of you guys that got this one. I had arranged to pick this up Saturday AM after talking to this guy, had the cash in hand and I get a call this afternoon and he says he sold it. Gotta love it. Oh well crap happens, at least he called and I didn't waste a drive for nothing.

That's rather rude, Sam. Just keep your eyes peeled and something better will come along sooner or later, always has and always will!

Guy was asking $500.00 for it with a 60" deck, said the PTO was going bad. He had owned it since new. Sounded like a great deal but no pics. I was going to pick it up and fix it up for one of my kids.

Must have been the Moon cycle yesterday. I had a situation go south yesterday also. Must have been "one of those days".

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
