Default 54GT spindle bearing races

I read through the rebuild from 2012 that was posted in my last thread on this deck rebuild, but the only thing I saw on removing the races was to tap them out evenly if possible. With two of them in there I can't get a socket in there to tap on, so the first one seems a little risky to tap on and risk damaging the housing. I will if there's no better way, but has anyone come up with any neat trick for getting that first race out of that spindle housing the reduces the risk of damaging the housing?

Also, after suffering through the starter engagement problem for probably 25 years, replacing two solenoids, and resigning myself to tapping the solenoid with a rubber mallet occasionally to get it to start, I read about the relay solution on another thread and tried it..... WOW! Just WOW! If I were more "emotionally intelligent", I probably would have cried with joy. But I'm not, so just WOW! p.s. Am I the only one who has to restrain himself from punching any guy that tells me I need to be more emotionally intelligent?

Emotionally intelligent! Sounds like a self-redefined term that the "woke" group would use. Apparently, they don't know the actual meaning of either one.

I think the essence is emotionally intelligent people are both self aware/reflecting and aware of others' emotions.

Not a lot of us in engineering

I have always tapped them out with a drift punch, unemotionally of course.

Had he been fixing a spindle he would have used a Spindle Race Tapper Outer Drift Punch, all the while singing Only the Good Die Young.

The last time I saw an AMERICAN Screwdriver, I was a kid and it was in my granpappy's tool box.
We don't know how to make our own stuff anymore so American Screwdrivers are made everywhere BUT America.
And that includes the ones that use vodka and orange juice too.

Default 54GT...

Nothing is made in America unless the company making it can grossly overcharge consumers, so they can post huge gains on Wall Street!

Those "Harvey Wallbangers" only want to sell what they can buy for 10 cents on the dollar from Chyna and mark it up 1000%...and they don't care about the quality, because we live in a "throw away" society.

I love taking my broken screwdrivers and wire cutting pliers back to Harbor Freight for a free replacement. It make me feel good they have to eat my broken and abused tools.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
