Bigger Shoes
I made these skis to keep the snow thrower up out of the stone in my 800' lane. The skis are made from 3/8"x2"x14" steel with adjustable mounts. This makes it much easyer to adjust the height and skim off the snow just above the stone. Now I can let the thrower all the way down in float position now with no worries of the snow thrower becoming a stone thrower.

That is a great idea. Question. does your wider/longer skids affect your ability to turn or adjust forward direction?

Jacobson GT 10 with mower. DR Lawn vac tow behind,Home made lawn roller. Brinly cart, 2 off brand carts and 1 home made cart.

You know what Doug? It ain't true LOL.....
Paul, the skids are big enough they add alot of flotation so the thrower just glides along, steering wherever I want. This is the first winter using the V-61s and that helps the possible steering issues. Thanks everybody,

Nice shoes! This is my first year with my Cub Cadet and a MTD blower. The skids on the blower really stink and I have been contemplating making something just like this. Thanks for sharing!
