Adding Headlights to my 1440
The previous owner of my 1440 removed the headlights. He said he hit the tractor in the area of the lights and broke the lens and lights. So he took them out, and cut the wiring off. I want to add lights now. Thanks to Roland Bedell I can see that my headlight wire is blue. I found the blue wire cut off, and a green one with it. From the diagram I am assuming the green is a ground wire. If there is someone who has knowledge of this, I would appreciate it. I would think I can wire up new lights across the old cut off blue and green.
The lights I am planning to add are 55 watt halogens. Am I safe adding these lights to the electrical system? Thanks for the help.
