A 1712 isn't a super...... and rotary engines are gut-less under 6000 rpm

Yes, I know that a 1712 is not a super. But that don't mean I cannot make it one.

Well I don't know if my rotary engine will be gut-less under 6000 rpm. But the way I plan to run it. I will be able to run it at most any rpm. It is the engine I have & I would just like to try it.

The hydro will explode over 4000 RPM. I think you need to reconsider. Good luck with that.....

Aside from the rpm problem, you won't be able to muffle the noise from that bee stinger you will need ear plugs + ear muffs & a helmet + all sorts of body armor to protect you from all your neighbors throwing stuff at you !

I alreadly have a plan to get around the hydro blowing up at 4000 rpm's. ( I know that problem) It's very easy, Don't use it. LOL My idea right now is to have the engine run a hydraulic pump. The pump will put power to my loader, three point, and the hydraulic motor that will drive my manual shift rear end. I know this is not a fool proof plan, But I know it will work.

Also about the lack of power. The engine I have is rated a 90 hp I think. Now that is at a higher rpm. But still, It should have more then enought hp to move my little cub.

Also, I find no reason why I can not muffer my engine down. Might be a little loud, but load is fun. LOL

Ok. I have been working of equipment and with hydraulics for years. There isn't a pump out there that I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot, that will handle over 4000 RPM. So, you are going to have to gear it down. If you do that, you just as well use the hydro. Also, putting a hydraulic motor on the front of a gear drive, will be impossible to control. Hydrostats are designed and built with feather touch control. You won't be able to have enough control to drive a trans like that. But, you seem to have all the answers, so have at.

That's funny, I looked at my Night Rod the other day and thought about this thread. Good thing my bike is not wrecked.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
