Question about a picture in Ken updikes book
In Ken updikes book "farmall cub and cub cadets" page 85, 87, it has pictures
f a WF hydro with 147 decals. The corresponding information on the pages is about the 147. But the tractor in the pictures is a hydro from the 1 X 8/9 series. Is there a reason for this misrepresentation?

YE: You'll have to ressurect the dead and ask the IH Publicity Dept. Ken just used an offcial IH photo release... Yeah, IH would do that..There are numerous other instances and photo's where the IH publicity folks just made whichever tractor they had at hand at the time fit the story they were telling... In this case they had a protype 1x8/9 Tractor to make manuals & brochures for the new upcoming series but needed a 147 for some current advertising, so they just switched the model number and pretended it was a 147 and figured no one would notice...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
