The 107 or any cub is worth whatever a person is willing to pay for it. I don't think any of us buy them expecting to make much of a profit on them without putting a lot of pro gratis hours in fixing them up. Go to the auction and have some fun. You'll know what a fair price for it is when you see it and then set your limit of your bid. Just be sure that you know what is included in the purchase--A guy told me last year that he bought a 1A tiller at an auction, thinking the gearbox (which was still attached to the tractor) went with it. Someone else bought the tractor and refused to part with the gearbox. He wouldn't even consider cash for it and he didn't want to buy the tiller from the guy. Let us know if you land it!!!

Oh, make sure it isn't my old 107 that I bought for $99.....It smoked more than an old locomotive steamer, but it made a great mosquito repellent!

The 107 looked and ran very well, Hydrostatic was sluggish. Figured it needed new fluid, but when then it sold just shy of $500

Don't worry, there is always seems to be another one out there that you will land. Several of us, like myself, have run out of room for them. You will find another one soon enough!

I have a cub cadet 107, I got it for free with a stuck transmission and no engine. I am currently fixing the transmission and I will buy the engine for 110 bucks, along with a deck, driveshaft, and anything else I don't yet have. The steering gearbox assembly alone is worth 150 bucks.

The person who I am buying the engine from had it rebuilt for $316 because the cylinder looked like it was doing the worm, and it smoked like crazy.

If the engine rebuild only cost $316 then there's no way it was rebuilt properly, buy with caution.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
