Thanks!, It will have the slower 2nd gear. Good for children to learn on.

Thanks for the info pal.

Happy to say that Mikey is almost a pro at 7 and because I started him early can operate all of them, hydro and gear drive and is almost there at backing up a trailer. I can tell he has the operator gene as I have and that’s what I was hoping for. He doesn’t feel the need to rip around on anything and even on my sportsman 700 4 wheeler he’s very careful and makes me proud. Before I get flamed yes I know that he’s too young for it UN supervised but I’m there 100 percent of the time making sure he respects it and he does.

I have bought almost all the rare IH models over the years and it’s not too hard to find IH stuff other than 82 series and newer cyclops for some reason aren’t that easy to find.
But Plant City ain't "up north"!
I have found quite a few with Florida dealer decals over the years.
But agree that a lot more seem to be imported used ones from up north.
One thing for sure, they do not show up in auctions because for some strange reason auctions are rare in Florida.
Compared to up north.

Nice haul by the way.

Teach him well Mike! That is exactly how dad taught me! Use it, take care of it and respect it.. it can hurt you or it can give you years of wonderful service!.. my first recollection of driving a cub was Dads 100 when I was about 4 years old!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
