Lightbulb Change of plans due to lack of use.

So, I have not been on here or my Cubs much in the last year. The tall wet grass did get mowed every chance I got this summer by the 1864. I had the 782 out a few times to push some stuff around with the front blade. The 2072 sadly got neglected to the point the new Vanguard was hard to start and had mold growing on the hood and gas tank . Even when I do use it it's mostly just for moving things around. The 1862 project is at a proof of concept stage and needs some finishing up.

I want to use the Vanguard to it's full potential. I plan to put it in the 1862 and put the snowblower and cab on it year-round. I am sure I will catch hell if I put the 16 hp Command in the Super, but it might happen until I find a worthy replacement.

The biggest investment is going to be $105 for a PTO for the Vanguard and some quality time working on my Cubs.

I'm with you Travis. It is a shame when a fella is so busy that he doesn't have a chance to do some things he enjoys in life. My book reads the same about no time for cubbin' and it gets on you knowing that our fun is sitting there, weeping to be used. Reminds me of the late, great George Harrison's song, "While MY Guitar, Gently Weeps".

Good Song!

I ordered some Snow Hog tires for the front today with some Amazon gift card $. I also got my hands dirty replacing the rear axle seals I bought a year ago. I should start the engine swap this weekend if the weather plays nice.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
