Grass just keeps growing!
I’ve never had green grass this late in the year. We had a cool wet August and the grass looks like April. Just wondering if it’s the same everywhere?

I agree, lawn is greener right now than all summer.
But by the end of Oct. it will have stopped growing and start to turn brown. But I think that is due to hours of daylight vs rain. |

Same here Terry. Never got a break. Usually by July and August, you can mow every 10 days to two weeks. Not this year. Every 7 almost wasn't enough. We're harvesting now and I don't have time to mow..... but the water grass is headed out in the yard. Mowing season this year has been long, and isn't going to let up. Too much rain and warm weather. It finally cooled off after this last rain storm. Maybe it will start to slow down finally.

Here in Long Island we usually cut back cutting to every 2 weeks starting August 1st. Not this year. It seems to be actually growing faster than it did in June!

There were a few weeks in early July where we got very little rain. Grass turned brown for a little while. I think this month we received more rain than the entire summer and the grass is needing cut constantly now!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
