Default Another New Member From North Carolina

NOW I KNOW WHY CUB CADET PICKINS ARE SO SLIM ON N.C. CRAIGS LIST!!!
Hello Everybody, Van here from central N. C.
I've been a WheelHorse owner for years and stilll love 'em, but for a long time been resisting the urge to add a Cub Cadet to the lawn tractor collection until now. (had to sell off a couple of farm tractors first to make room for something else)
Just this week aquired a 1975 Cub 1650 Hydro. The tractor is in fairly good shape, especially for its age. Everything is there, motor runs, hydro works and lifts the mowing deck, lights work, mowing deck works, paint good for now.
Its good to have found this forum. I am seriously studying the information of "Daves 1650 Project" listed on page 13 of the IH Cub Cadet Tractors GT forums. If you are reading this Dave, THANK YOU MAN!!!
Anyway, glad I'm here. I see there are some good folks here on this forum. Thank you for having me,
Van

Thank you again everybody!
Cubcrazy, I fall short where posting pics are concerned. My New Years resolution is to sometime this year buy a digital camera and learn how to post pics. I use a computer alot for my real job but never have to post any pics. Gonna learn though. Please be patient with me.
DWayne, Thank you for the welcome. I promise I will not give any troublle here with you being a Moderator. Only Yes Sir, and No Sir to you
Allen, I am looking forward to meeting you.
Duke, I love the Statesville area. Thats God's Country in North Carolina.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
