My compressor tank just sprang a lil hole, so it's seen its days.

That is IF, there is not a vent somewhere else.
It would work like the crank case vents on gasoline engines, that are usually in the valve cover.
On your electric motor, it is physically larger because it has extra repulsion windings to start it.
Today they use capacitors which are much less cost, and use less copper windings.

Make sure you check the condensate drain on the bottom of the tank before you put pressure in it.
A compressor that old tends to be rusted out from water accumulation in the tank.
I would also change the oil in the compressor, as it probably is as old as me! Ha,LOL
Thanks, Well the motor and pump were gone through 6 years ago.....I am still gonna change the oil.

Now That "vent" on crankcase has a 90 degree on it and there is a threaded hole on top of the head close to where the air filter goes..........I asume that is where the vent will go, if yes what should i use to make that connection?

oil: non detergent 30wt is what I use. I'd recommend changing oil annually, more often if the unit sees 'commercial' use.

vent: I'd use anything that would work for a breather... something that will allow air in and out, but keeps dirt out. Run a line to it and insert a fuel filter??? I know KN makes breather filters, they look like mini KN filters, but those little things run $20 a pop.

ok, i mean wha should i use to connect the 90 degree out the engine to the head?
