Default Remember these?

Just got my wife’s Christmas present done. Anyone remember sitting on the front porch on one of these?

Those suckers aren't cheap! No telling how many were hauled away to the junkyard/dump.

I rarely ever saw those seats but I remember them. Back then, they were ugly. Today, really cool!

Nice job on the restoration. I think your wife oughta get you that fork lift for Xmas!

Yes, at Pop's house. It had been painted over in a dozen different colors through the years. We enjoyed peeling large chips of paint away to reveal its history.

Yes! My thoughts exactly.....the conversation went something like this
“ what are you going to do with a forklift?”
“ uh, you know, lift things, heavy things, things I need a forklift for”

After she gets her gift, tell her you need the forklift to lift and move her next years present! Sure wish the forklift were closer to NY, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Looks great! She should really enjoy that!!!! Brings back memories of sitting on grandma's front porch and watching the rains come in during a hot and humid summer day. My brother has one of them......Nothing like a smooth glide!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
