From what I've searched the rear that he has is hydro. If that is correct can I swap that into my tractor?

If the other trans is a Hydro it won't work. Thought you said it was from a 2130? 2130 is an AGS a 2135 is a Hydro. PM me your e-mail and I'll send you the service manual.

Big Dog

Let me start by saying I am not trying to insult you in any way. I don't know nor is it any of my business what you paid for your tractor and snow blower. I don't know what you plan on doing with it. That said here's the deal, the 2130 is not a heavy duty Cub Cadet, it is a low end MTD that was sold by Cub Cadet. It was designed primarily as a lawn mower. The transmission is no longer made because it was so poorly designed. I'm not trying to burst your bubble but I'd hate to see you spend any serious $$$$ on it buying a used tranny that may fail shortly after you install it. You may be better to cut your losses and just part out what you have and find something better suited to your needs. Again not trying to ruin your day just trying to help save you more aggravation and expense. Holler if I can help.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
