RZT S won’t start
Hello All,
I have an RZT S that only makes a faint clicking noise at the hour meteor when I push the key in. Battery was changed at the beginning of the season ran fine for months then one day nothing. I changed the starter solenoid but same thing. Should I swap out the hour meteor next? Thanks in advance for your help.

"Generally speaking"....it sounds like a safety device has malfunctioned, thus causing the non-start, ie: Seat Switch, brake switch, etc.

If you have good hearing you might be hearing the meter start running when you activate the start switch.
It would be prudent to do some diagnostic work before randomly purchasing parts unless you have unlimited funds to waste. I just hate to see one fire the parts cannon on something without checking/following process of elimination. You changed the solenoid, ok why? have you load tested the battery or even put your meter on it? just because it was good several months ago don't necessary mean it has been charging or it went bad, maybe just loose connections or corrosion at the terminals. You need to explain to the DR. where you hurt and symptoms not just say I think I want my heart replaced because I been feeling bad. You get the picture. Also certain safety devices need to be activated before modern equipment is allowed to start, like pto switches need be off, clutches need to be pushed in one has to be sitting in the seat. Etc.etc. Well you get the idea, do some detective work then report back and we will try to help you.

You are 100% correct, I failed to give all information as to what I have checked and my findings.
To clearify I watched a YouTube video and the guy had the exact same problem as what I am experiencing. I thought to myself "holy cow, cool! Not the case. The tractor ran fired up and ran fine since the start of the season (April) and out of the blue 2 weeks ago will not start. Battery is at 13.1 I also doubled checked the connections. PTO is NOT engaged I am sitting in the seat and pushing the brake in so, to your point a safety switch in the pedal or seat might be bad. I did check the connection under the seat and it was solid. I disconected it blew it out (habit) and reconnected it. Where is the safety switch for the brake pedal? Thanks
