Tuesday. I'll have my second tractor, a Cub Cadet 122. Paint doesn't look bad. Once i get it to the house, I'll post pics. Just wondering why do a lot of people complain about k301 being made into pullers?

guess I never heard that. But I wasn't Kohler's facebook pic of the day either. depending on your clubs rules you're probably better off getting a 14 or 16.

you have to remember that there are a fair number of restorers that don't care for the guys that hot rod them weather its a car, truck, garden tractor or what ever. think how many 69 Camaro's were hacked apart in the name of racing. Makes a virgin really hard to find and when you do the money you spend on it is ridiculous. think about it, gear drive cubs are getting hard to find, gear drive deere's are a dime a dozen

Don't take things the wrong way, just having some fun at your expense. make's up for some of your difficult to read messages.

All I've got is a stock clutch. And 26x12-12 tires. Think the 12hp will be able to make it in the #1050 class with tires that big?

Depends on what the class allows. Don't expect to compete with 16+ hp engines. But if it's a 14hp and under you will be fine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
