Default My 2165

My sister bought this 2165 brand new in 1994. Bought it from her in the spring of 2003 and did all the things it need to bring it up to par including a new seat. I enjoyed working on it then and enjoy maintaining it now. It is always ready to go to work with me and has never let me down in the last 18 years and never complains. I am looking at a 3240 right now and was thinking of selling it, but don't think I can. It has 717 hours on it and does not smoke or leak so I will keep it at least for now.

Very nice
My 2185 was my favorite (same as 2165 but has kohler engine)
I picked up a 1864 last year and sold my 2185... and i miss it. If they had power steering they'd be perfect?

I picked up a 3235 a month or so ago and I'm really liking it. The 1864 might be moving on.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
