Is your cutting edge hitting before the skid shoes touch the ground? That would cause some serious drag. I run a 45" blower on the front of my 1641 and don't have nearly as much weight as you and I very seldom spin a tire. I'm running 23x10.5x12 turfs with 2 link chains with 65lbs of weight on each tire.

Default Tire Suggestions Please??

One issue with steering with the blower down are the steel shoes/slides on the blower. They don't like to slide sideways which causes lack of steering control. Replace them with hdpe/poly slides or add hdpe to yours, it really helps.

The original steel slides on my blower are about wore out. Do you have a link for the hdpe/poly slides.

I got a pair of Kendra Bear Claws in the garage. I believe there 25x10-12, but they could be 25x8-12. Guess I'll have to check. Like the homemade 3 point hitch!

Ok, just checked my bear claws and they are 25x10-12. Factory are 24 or 25x10.5-12. Will they fit on there?

Well got one on. Had to do the old brake cleaner trick but it's on. Seems to be holding air ok and don't see any rubbing.

I think you will see a big improvement in traction with those tires if you had original turfs on prior. Unique using the front bumper for a rear suitcase weight bracket. Never saw anyone do that before.

Well I didn't drive through the snow in the yard with the turf tires, that was more of a curiosity thing. Won't really know until the next snow fall when I try blowing it. Tell you what though, I feel bad for you guys that don't have the differential lock.

I'd be worried about the outer axle bearings with that much weight hanging on the tractor . did you fill the tires with antifreeze ?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
