New to Site
Thank you for accepting me into your group.
I am located in rural Victoria, Australia. I have picked up a Cub Cadet 1250. I have looked at many posts and Pintrest sites but I have not seen any builds for this model machine. Is this unit capable of turning into a small tractor? Cheers Lee |

G'day mate! Welcome to OCC!
When you say small tractor what exactly are you wanting to do with it? Pretty sure it's already a small tractor so we need to know what your plans are for it.

First, welcome to OCC. We have about 2 Dozen Aussie Members here.
The 1250 is a very popular model here in the States. We can handle any question(s), know how to keep them running, and know where to get parts.

1215 moderfercations
I want to set up with a rotary tiller on the back and bucket on the front.
The unit I have does not have a motor but every thing else is intact. The wiring is a bit average so I will renew that also. This will be my first attempt at a project like this. I am an engineer with a small workshop in the shed. I have two acres that I want to plant vegetables and move some wood around. Nothing on the big size Cheers Lee |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
